Emesco supports international developers in REIPPPP and emergency IPP power projects.
The South African Department of Energy has gazetted ministerial determinations for the development of an additional 11.8GW of power generation, the continuation of the REIPPPP round 5 as well as the procurement of 2GW of emergency power through the Risk Mitigation program. These plans were also endorsed by our President himself, confirming that any energy policy uncertainty is being addressed at the centre of our economic recovery effort.
As the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic has already impacted many countries around the world, and with the resultant erratic travel restrictions to and from South Africa, Emesco is here to assist you not only in unravelling the requirements and relationships within the various programmes, but also to assist you on the ground in South Africa during your development and implementation process.
Our team of highly-specialized engineers based in South Africa offers significant hands-on experience in the local utility scale solar and wind markets. Emesco is a dedicated and reliable partner to support and coordinate, amongst others, land acquisition, site surveys, grid connection studies, geotechnical studies, environmental impact studies, preliminary designs, identification of local suppliers, preparation of bid documents, etc. Through our shareholder TBI, we can also consult on attractive financing alternatives for local partners.
